ABOUT ME
A very dear family friend of mine, Suzzi, was my first and only “lady who I petsit for”. She had five wonderful animals, one which required special care. She needed someone to watch over her babies and, little did I know, I also needed pets watching over me!
Who knew that animal therapy could be one of the most valuable resources for mental health??
I was in a perfect position to be her petsitter.

See, several years prior to meeting Suzzi, I had separated from the military. I served six years on active duty, enlisting at the early age of 17. The military was the only way of life I knew. Upon separating, I had the longest and most difficult transition into the civilian world.
During that time, I was diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and tinnitus, all while undergoing treatment and eventually receiving a disability rating through the VA.
For myself who navigates life with PTSD, caring for animals has become not only a healthy part of my recovery, but also a fun and therapeutic way to cope! I am grateful and find an abundance of joy in caring for and loving all sorts of different animals.
Being a Certified Professional Pet Sitter is literally the best job in the world!
